Mayans Development worked with the South El Monte Community Development Commission to turn a once blighted industrial site surrounded by a residential neighborhood into a more conforming residential community. Mayans Development actively engaged in the community outreach and workshops were held at the local church to provide input in the development of the project. Mayans Development entered into an Owner Participation Agreement (“OPA”) with the Commission. The outcome resulted in 30 single-family detached homes with a home owner’s association and 50% of the units being restricted to low to moderate income households.
